It was nice to see York reacting more like himself than he had before. He had seemed pretty drawn last time they'd talked, and North had been concerned he was letting himself get pretty stressed out about this whole thing. He smiled, pressing the mug he'd prepared for York into his hand. "Hope I got that right."

After that he was free to pick up his own mug and settle into the other chair. He didn't need to ask how Carolina was doing. The fact that she was still unconscious made that piece of information pretty plain to see. North was more concerned about York. He didn't intend to go into this by asking a bunch of questions; he was just going to sit down and be there to listen to whatever York felt he wanted to share. For that reason he didn't say anything more, just took a drink of his coffee and waited to see what York would have to say.
