[thread] Church voicetesting

Church wasn't exactly the most patient of individuals. Especially after being sent out here to live on a base alone for bullshit reasons after everything he'd been through. So he finds the ride out to be fucking aggravating as hell. Every little bump irritates the shit out of him, and he's not content until he's left alone by the pilot who drops him off. Even then, he's kind of irritable for a while, until it occurs to him: there's no one here.

It's the best day of his life.

He spends most of his time not thinking about the things that have happened—very pointedly—especially not Tex's death in that plane, caused by that piece of shit Red sergeant asshole. Thinking about that only serves to depress him, and he needs to just stay away from that topic, at least for a while.

After spending, oh, about a week in bed, Church starts patrols. He patrols the wall, the guard turret, the yard, the base itself, the wall again... Well, there's not that much to this base, it turns out. But it's enough to keep him busy, he figures.

The last time Tex had seen Church, it had been when she betrayed him and ran off with Omega to try and stop... Stop what exactly? The war? The Director? The Meta? Looking back on it, she wasn't quite sure what she had been trying to accomplish. All she knew was that, like always, she had failed. Crashed into some simulation base for the Project.

Being stranded was dangerous, especially given that the Meta seemed to be increasing his attacks on the other members of the Project, desperate to get his hands on the A.I. If she wanted to avoid being caught, she had to move. So she had left, running away into the wilderness, hoping that everyone would forget she even existed so she could have time to recuperate and figure out what the fuck to do. Her last allies had died, and the Reds and Blues weren't reliable allies.

The base she had originally decided to hole herself up in had been abandoned, she thought. When she got there, at least, there was no one in it. No supplies, nothing. It had been the perfect hiding spot, so she had left for a while, in an attempt to find weapons or ammo or something she could use to defend herself if the Meta or the Project came looking for her.

There hadn't been much that she could scavenge, just a simple knife and battle pistol. After being gone for over a week, she had decided to go back. And given the fact that the universe seemed to want to fuck her over at every opportunity, that meant that someone was there. In her base. And it was Church, because who fucking else would it be?

Utilizing the armor enhancements given to her by the Director, she decided to spy on him for a bit. See if he was alone, or if there were others with him. When no one showed up for at least a day, that was when she decided to reveal herself to him, even if it meant explaining herself after everything that happened. She wasn't too good at "feelings".

It wasn't until he was getting ready to lay down in bed that she turned the camo off, appearing suddenly in front of him, cross-legged on the bed. "Hey, asshole. Fancy seeing you here." she said, with a slight grin on her face.

The grin only grew wider when Church stares at her, taking his helmet off. She couldn't remember ever seeing him without it on, and now took in every last second of being able to gaze up at him. He was handsomer than the Director ever was, in a younger more naive way and she loved it.

Until he reached forward and pushed her right where her breasts would be, were she not wearing armor. "Hey, watch it--" she snaps, feeling herself tip over and catching herself just in time. "The hell is your problem? Of course it's me, you dumbass." Muttering, she pushes herself back up and glares up at him.

Frowning up at him, she looked quite a bit pissed off. Brows furrowed, lips in a tight line. "Gee, thanks asshole. First time we've seen each other in how long? And you comment on my fuckin' appearance. Way to fuckin' go."
