Another jump, another sleep full of troubling dreams and another rude awakening of being dumped out of the pods naked, surrounded by everyone they knew of in the ship. It was disorienting, nausea-inducing, chaotic, and never really the same twice. Delta was sure he could never get used to it, but he supposed at least this time Juliana hadn't pinned him to the ground or anything mortifying like that.
There was something he noticed in particular this time, though, despite the confusion. Something York did, and Delta wasn't sure it sat quite right with him. Yes, of course York had a right to help anyone to the showers. It was common courtesy, and Delta himself had done so with newcomers now and then when they looked especially confused. This time, though. Something had made Delta take note of it.
Later that evening (arbitrary, as all times aboard ship were, yet Delta realized the importance of keeping circadian rhythms intact), Delta found himself curled up on his bed in the room they shared, waiting for York to come in from the usual survey sweep after a jump. That nagging feeling of unease that was a little deeper than the surface discomfort he always felt hadn't gone away yet. He wasn't entirely sure he should talk to York about it, but then, if he couldn't talk to York about it, he'd never figure it out.
