[Club Errera]
He didn't know exactly when it had happened, but at some point partway into his drink he'd looked around and realized all of his friends were gone. He stood, and looked around. Spotting them among the flashing lights of the club was an impossible task, and he certainly wouldn't be able to call them when the music was playing so loud. So he just shrugged to himself and sat back down. After a bit he'd finish his drink and move on, but for now he took his lighter out and flicked it, trying to remember if they'd been planning to move on to another bar at some point.

Just the thought reminded her of just how much harder she needed to work on being a leader, not just the person on top. If she wanted to prove herself to her father, she had to earn more than gold medals.
Without timidity, she reached over York for the lighter.
"Smoking's not allowed in here." Her tone, as always, was crisp, but with a commanding edge.

If he didn't stop her, her fingers would close tight around the lighter and attempt to tug it from his.

"Security's busy." She didn't have much to do outside of getting back to her night, so it hadn't been that big of a deal to prevent someone from getting thrown out.
Turning back toward the bar, she quickly ordered another beer for herself.

With a flick of her wrist, she tucked the lighter back away into the pocket of her jacket. Might as well remove temptation.

"Garrett." She acknowledged him with another nod, but didn't sit. By her watch, it was just about time to get back to her night.

"Their loss." He seemed nice enough, after all. Friends were supposed to stick around for each other. Not that she'd stuck around for hers. The military had screamed her name and she had answered the call with an eager heart.

"Make that two, on me," she interjected before the bartender could turn all the way around. After all, the night was still young, she could get back to it in a few minutes.

"To the moment." And with that she downed the shot.

"Not with a partner." Her tone is cool but still amused and relatively friendly.

She pushed away from the bar taking a couple steps toward the dance floor. "But not having a partner doesn't mean I'm going alone."

"The truth, huh." She cants her head slightly, eyebrows still raised.
