[psl] Omega/Tex introduction

She remembered the training, everything she'd learned about AIs and their partnership with agents. She didn't exactly remember taking the time to do it, but the facts were all there in her head, and now it was time to put it all to use. She went into the OR, underwent the implantation process, and was taken to a special recovery room, which she had all to herself.

All was quiet, the lights dimmed, and Tex leaned back in the cot, waiting for some sign of her AI to manifest.

Unlike the other fragments Omega is not implanted in the default 'on' state. In part this is due to his volatile nature (things have been 'messy' in prior trial runs) and in part due to their unique shared status.

So Omega is on a preset slow wakeup, preventing his programming from causing a sudden and unexpected system crash. The sensation isn't unlike uncurling after a deep sleep. Dark thoughts, to quiet to make out, trail along the edge of her consciousness as his programming skims the edges of hers. Probing for any sign of weakness as he joins her in their newly shared body.

"Allison" The raw guttural thought only barely qualifies as a voice.

It's in her head, not manifesting to her ears, and she freezes, narrowing her eyes.

"I'm Tex." It's not that Allison isn't her name, it's that Tex is her, and she wants this all to take place under her terms. "Omega."

"I know." he almost purrs, stalking the edges of her mind. "I know you."

There's a sense of gloating, he likes having this over her.

"I will make you strong"

"How could you know me?" she replies. She feels agitated with him acting that way, and she rises from the cot, edging her way toward the one-way mirror that gazes down at her from one side of the room. Someone's back there monitoring her, she knows.
