"Yeah. One that doesn't involve ninjas." They're approaching the apartment complex and she's taking stock of the cars to see which of their parents will be home. So far, looks like only their mom is around which will make things easier.
"I'm not an old dog yet, but I won't play fetch." He sets his bag in the front room and goes to settle in on the couch. Pretty soon he'll start dinner but it's a little early for that.
"How about rolling over?" She kicks her shoes off in the living room and sets her back down wherever. She's contemplating getting some homework done before her date, but for now she opts to sit on her end of the couch with her sketchbook.
He eyes her shoes but doesn't say anything. "I don't roll over either." Though he sort of was, when it came to his decision not to nag after she called him out on it.
"Yeah, sure you don't." She's sitting with her back to the armrest and her knees pulled up to rest her sketchbook against. "Just like how you're not going to nag me in a second about my shoes." Because yes, she caught you looking.
